Disability Case Management

Indigenous persons across Canada continue to deal with the generational effects of colonization. It is well documented that the health and disability status of Indigenous Peoples in Canada is significantly lower than that of our non-Indigenous population. Persons with disabilities, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, may face substantial barriers in accessing necessary health and social services, or financial instability. People with disabilities often fall through the gaps of todays social service systems. The Indigenous Disability Case Management Services at BCANDS works with each individual and their families to create a personalized plan to meet their unique goals and needs. Our team members coordinate alongside a variety of health and disability related programs to help our clients find solutions to the challenges they face.
